Spotted in Southwold: lapwing and snipe

Walking into town from Mandalay, we were surprised to see a number of birds that we don’t normally see on the beach. These ones were hopping around the edge of the model yacht pond by what was The Dutch Barn (can’t think of it as the Casa Mia).  There were two lapwings and a snipe, the lapwings being recognisable with their “Mohican” crests on their heads.
