Although the days are drawing in, and the clocks go back at the end of the month, there are still plenty of delightful views available for the observant photographer near Mandalay in Southwold.
The light at this time of year is always soft, and backgrounds of green change now to buffs and brown, and the slight mistiness adds to the autumnal feel. Many thanks to friend Gillian for this atmospheric shot.
The pampas grasses at the front of Mandalay, which somehow flourish on a sandy beach, come into their own at this time of year, with the flowery plumes sometimes having to battle with stiff autumn breezes.
