At last the work to repair the harbour wall in Southwold has started. The wall was beginning to bow outwards, and two years ago, the car park alongside it was closed, presumably for fear if it collapsed, cars would go hurtling over the edge.
After much dithering and delays, the much needed work will take place – see here for more details on the repair works.
Will crabbers ever be able to lean over the edge again with their crablines and nets? Somehow, I doubt it.
