In a time when high streets get more standardised all round the country, even though a few well=known names are creeping into Southwold, it boldly resists becoming a ubiquitous copy of every other town.

Although the horse-drawn dray of Adnams is a distant memory, the summer months are brightened by a horse drawn wagon, which manages to slow already congested traffic down to a crawl behind it

You can’t make a call from it, but it does contain an emergency defibrillator, so a quick zap could get you back in action.
